that’s a line in email sent by ravivakil, with some further instructions, so (a) its on for the 20th being the 1st lecture (with high probability), (b) i’m of-record, and (c) i’m using the (hideous in black and white) discord site used by the instructor (and author of foag) and a heap of other algebraic geometers and students. (d) will materialize shortly with a selection of moo-ish cms in which to to natter ensemble. zulip, discord, and something called coauthor.
fan-out / fan-in is hard, which is why delegation allows scaling, even with mechanisms (like email) that don’t “scale” like stateless http allows (broadcast model). go with units of what works, not a new, untested unit of impossible-by-any-other-means. why fail catistrophically at once when you can fail gracefully later? my two beads worth.
inter-library loan has brought me volume 3, further study of schemes. and in a lovely folio-size, betweem the cup & chicago blue cover sizes.

i’ve four binders filled with the sections of ravi vakil’s foag, and a fifth one with the mark-up from sasha p’s first and second terms teaching 681 and 682 last year (f & w : ’19-’20), and ueno’s first two monographs. i’ll be using 2-up, with following 216 on the lhs, and me on the rhs. latex is assumed, though i’ve no idea how at the moment.
